Add a unique houseplant to your collection with the striking Alocasia Polly! Distinguished by their dark green, narrow arrowhead leaves with their contrasting protruding white veins- these impressive plants will add a conversation starter to any space!

Originating in Southeast Asia, you may have also heard of these plants by the name of Elephant Ear or African mask. We break down the difference between these plants here!

Information, Care & Maintenance for Alocasia Polly:

Light: Bright, indirect filtered light is ideal for this houseplant. Ensure that you never allow this plant to stand in the direct sunlight as this will result in leaf burn.

Water: Establish a regular routine for watering ensuring that the soil is kept moist but never saturated. A lack of water will result in brown leaf tips.

Humidity & Temperature: This houseplant prefers spots with ample humidity, misting it on a regular basis or using a pebble tray to increase humidity is suggested. Alocasia requires temperatures above 60°F. Keep your plant away from cold drafts, windows, doors, and air conditioning.

Location: Bathrooms and kitchens are great locations for these plants due to their tendency to have high humidity.

Fertilizer: Feed with water-soluble 20-20-20 general purpose fertilizer every two weeks during the growing season.

Potting: Re-pot Alocasia annually into larger pots with fresh, free-draining potting soil. Spring and Summer are when you can expect to see growth.

It is important to note that Alocasia is mildly toxic to pets and animals.
